Ranking Garbage Sites - OUTED

Earlier today the people behind OSE posted an article where the writer outed a lead gen site. You can read the article yourself listed below.


I don't like seeing people out a website regardless of their tactics to rank said website. However, I did enjoy reading how the writer tried to figure out how the person was ranking. The article got me thinking about something as it pertains to competitive analysis.

Does anybody know of a program, spider, etc. that allows people to analyze links similar to the service (Link Detective-does not work at the moment) he is offering towards the end of the article?

If not, and you can program such a tool let me know and perhaps we can work out something.

I know that Link Research Tools has a pretty cool feature where it automatically organizes the link based on type (blog, directory, etc. and Advanced Link Manager and SEO Spyglass have similar features.

That was a good read, thanks. Pretty crazy. But:

Be careful who you copy. The site I referenced in this article has already been dropped by Google (I wouldn't have published this if they were still ranking).
