Ranking for state + service kewords?

I have a city + service site starting to rank well. Google search console is showing that I have a lot of impressions coming from State + service type keywords.

Is it worth trying to rank for state + service keyword although my site is for a city (in that same state) + service?

If it is a service that you can also offer outside of your city I would say that it would be useful to rank by state + service as well.

Yeah city + keyword traffic is > state + keyword

Yeah the service is also offered outside the city. So maybe I can say something like "we offer city service plus surrounding areas" or something along those lines.
