I saw couple sites that ranks pretty high, top 3 in SERP, but when i do keyword analysis on that specifically page that ranks for keyword, there is no keyword on page? For example:

For keyword "best new laptops for teachers", in SERP there is 3 sites in top 3; When i open that page, there is no mention about "best new laptops for teacher", no even close that, the page is about laptops but there is no specific keyword for which it ranks, in this example "best new laptops for teacher".

How is this possible? Is there any explanation?

Bump

But "best new laptops for teacher" is long-tail kw, how its possible for site to rank with some other kw like only "best laptops"?

It doesn't suprise me, as best new laptops for teacher is included in best laptops. So it's close enought for them to rank. They just need the right amount of links and anchor text and there you go.

This happens all the time in the case of info sites
Even a subheading mentioning the long tail combinations are good enough

It's not that strange really, I saw it happening before. The thing is that their site is strong enough and has good domain authority so they can rank even when someone doesn't type the exact same phrase. You said it yourself that their site is in fact related to laptops, so it's completely okay and regular for them to be ranked for some long-tail keywords that look similar to their offer. This is usually possible for better sites that have authority and that generate a decent amount of monthly traffic.
