Hello Guys.

I have a question. Mainly we have here discussions about how to rank in google.com, Google.co.uk and other English speaking countries.

But I want to rank in my own country google. And I was thinking. Would the same techniques would do the thing. Like for example if I would go with .com links to .ee or .de domains? Would google would see the value for my domain?

Or maybe if I would build for my .ee or .de domain Tier1 with example.wordpress.com 10 of these and then point to my domain from them. And in tier2 blast the Tier one links with SB.

Basically my question is - Do the techniques for .com domains work for foreign domains.

Almost same techniques, just watch out for:

1) Don't get too many English links to non-English stuff. It'll raise flags. (Unless they're legit links)
2) Get a local domain.
3) Host it locally if possible.

Hope this helps!

You see, this is the problem. Offcourse I get a local domain and host it locally. But about the links. Here it is hard to get links from other sites if you don't wan't to write the webmaster and then pay him. It would be a really complicated process.

As for wordpress. IF I would build wordpress pages. Like I already mentioned example.wordpress.com and but there content that is in my language, that would be a non-Enlgish site right?

Doesn't matter. I run non-English .info's, .com's, .me's etc. in non-English country with links from Korean website without problems. Sure local/niche relevant links are better, but as you said, sometimes it's just not an option enough to actually rank.

We work on italian market. Trust me the hosting and domain is not so important. For a good SEO on foreign market it's necessary to have good italian contents for the website AND for the link building. You can also add some links from english content but they should be in minority.

We also built an italian private network, which is a great solution

+1 for this ^^^

I've ranked websites with non-english content and the backlink profiles only have about 10% native language content links. As long as you have plenty of native language content on YOUR site, it doesn't really matter in my experience what language the content is on other sites. This is partly because there is far less competition in non-english googles and I also believe that Google rolls out its updates much later for non-english googles... not sure about that second one but that's an impression I've had.

Try and get a few quality native language backlinks for your site (you must have some buddies who have websites in your language) and/or create a couple of websites yourself which you use exclusively to build links to your money site. Then i believe you can span a little bit on english sites, its no problem (especially for tier 2-3-4...)

Yes you can rank also with 100% english content links. The point is that is not a good strategy for a long term business

Yes i am also working on this same strategy and getting the desired results. Many people work on Chinese high page rank blogs and i think it's not the good way to improve the ranking.

It's basically the same no matter of which language you speak. The number 1 objective you need to target is to build quality back link with your site. Of course how many are greatly depend the competitiveness of your niche.

There are no fixed figures because no one knows. I have been doing SEO for my own language for 5 years now, so I am quite what works for the English sites, also works for your language.
