Bing and Yahoo are huge opportunities. They DO get traffic and almost no one competes for their rankings. I've also noticed a lot of people using Bing more often now. If you knew what you were doing you could easily rank for high traffic keywords in Bing and Yahoo and make as much money as you would from Google.

Never happen.

The US Government got involved when they tried to get Yahoo in 2008. Whenever Google acquires anything search related will be under a microscope. I would like to know how Google got a search deal with ask.com.

If anyone is going get Yahoo, it will be Microsoft or Facebook.

Microsoft wanted Yahoo once, they'll want it again. Now that part of Yahoo has sold, Microsoft may buy out the search part of Yahoo. Microsoft will do something before the deal goes dead. Losing Yahoo's alliance will be a big hit to them.

It could be Facebook. Facebook announced a few weeks ago about getting into the search game, maybe Yahoo is it's way in.

Which is exactly why I want to nail this down. There is serious money here.
 
In my experience Yahoo and Bing (which are pretty much the same as it has already been said) are different beasts than Google. Some sites that were heavily penalized on Google and lost virtually all the traffic are still rocking (and have been for quite some time) on Bing/Yahoo. I haven't figured and specific tactics for ranking in Bing/Yahoo but there's definitely market there since I'm making quite some bucks with those sites...

Wrong on all accounts...

Bing is just as fast, if you know how to get your structures indexed. Bing/Yahoo are EMD heavy, and like to rank EMDs well. Yahoo/Bing are very stable ranking wise compared to Google. Bing crawls every page of a well put together site (need a sitemap)

I certainly like to keep an open mind, but I think the bottom line is that you don't need to do much different to get rank in both search engines.

Wrong again! Bing does not index nofollow links AT ALL. Google does.
This is just one example of how insanely, and ridiculously incorrect this crap is.

Thank you. This is what I'm looking for. The point about Bing not indexing nofollow links is an absolute "GEM". The Yahoo/Bing stability is very appealing.
 
From my own personal experience not sure I agree that Bing and Yahoo are that big of opportunities as of now or any time soon... I get more traffic from Google with keywords ranking on the bottom of page 1 then I do from Bing and Yahoo combined with the same keyword ranked #1 or #2... and yes I do know that Bing's market-share has increased, but I'd still rather put all my focus into getting top on Google because by the time that it really might matter to have a top spot in Bing they could and probably will change algorithms so that what got your site to the top of the heap will possibly not matter as much therefore bringing the site back down.
 
In my experience, when I built some sites strictly on basic backlinks, web 2.0s article submissions etc. rankings improved on all 3 the same. It's when i started to do social signals and press releases that I started to go up more in google while remaining the same on yahoo/bing.

Seems like google goes after backlinks and other signals while yahoo/bing focus more on backlinks. Just my guess
