Hello there!

I would like to know your thoughts about one of my projects.

Recentry I have started a blog, making tutorials based mainly on images and videos, thus not very much text content, very much multimedia. I try to keep it clean and add content everyday.
I have used an old domain though to make this blog.

What concerns me is the ranking, is it normal that the long tail keywords that I am after (WITHOUT ANY BACKLINK) rank my website in the range of 70 - 90 ?

I will attach a screenshot.

I am afraid Google penalized me even before I got any results.

This is completely normal, especially when a site is still new (depending on how hard your keywords are).

Don't worry about it :)

Sometimes just a couple of paragraphs of content can really make those bad boys jump really high from the lower 90's to like page 2 at the very least.

Text content is important as you've said yourself.

You are in the sandbox perioud, this lasts 6-8 months, although it also depends on the niche and competition. The sandbox period is per URL and now just the domain, which means that even every time you write a new blog post than this post will be in the sandbox for a couple of months. It is normal what you are seeing

It's normal for new blogs. Add some unique content and backlinks to rank.

Hi there,

No need to panic. It is a normal behavior in the search engines. It will be back to track soon.

Good luck

Keep working on great contents and you will be paid off :)
