Ranking Facebook fan pages ?

I see there are Facebook fan pages for just about every topic and I was curious about what BHW members think of them, do you find them easy to rank, ect? Several months back I created a few fan pages just as extra pages for a topic of mine, and I noticed that a couple of these pages started ranking good for some keywords, and I did little to no SEO. So I have been tempted to go into full test mode with these but I wanted to hear other opinions first. I notice that it seems to take fan pages a while to get indexed and start ranking well but maybe that was just my experience.

Not true, have nothing to do with Likes

Hmmm, let's see, FB is No.2 (some will say No.1) site in the world and your pages ranked high even though you didn't do SEO? How is that possible?

Yeah it's possible. Facebook pages doesn't need much SEO to rank at 1st page. I have 2 pages and both are at 1st page with no SEO. It depends on the keyword or topic you have choose
