Hi Everybody,
I have an ecommerce site and i don't know how to rank it, i'm talking about off page on page is already finished. What are the most important techniques for this kind of sites?
Thank you

FYI... the MOST common thing I see in SEO is people thinking their on-page is ready and competitive. It is usually not because people tune without measuring their competitors to see if they are even close. And if your tuning hasn't hit competitive parity do you think you will have to do more or less off-page tuning than your competitors to make up for it? :) just food for thought.

I know im in competitive keywords too; The site already appears on some keywords but not the majority.

Hypothetically you can do an analysis like this that empirically measures if your on page tuning is competitive or not.:

If you haven't measured then you don't really know if your on-page tuning is good enough. And it is good to compare your site's measures to both the sites that out rank you as well as the page 1 average measurements.

PBN's are the best way to build authority to your site for a low cost. However there is a risk attached to them so you need to fully understand how to use them before diving in.

Once you have figured out how to get high authority links (whether using pbn's or something different) you then need to use them in the right way. Send plenty of authority links to your homepage, so that authority flows from there through your entire site, but also target specific pages with links so that important pages (such as category pages) also rank.

Well for ON page methods Meta description is much important. Hope you will done it perfectly.

For Off page method you have to quality links instead of quantity and get niche relevant links.

For an eCommerce site more views and traffic is important so try to get organic traffic by quality links .

Same thing you do for every site. Make sure it's easily crawlable. Implement a good design. Make sure your page titles lead with your KWs. Create useful content on each page
Trying to "rank fast" isn't always a great option. It may lead you down some paths that will cause your site harm in the future.

After your site is set-up nicely, build some links from the top down (Homepage and Top Level Categories). If the KW difficulty is low, you should be able to rank fairly quick by having a strong domain and an optimized title tag for a page with good content.

i'm talking about off page

If you're sure about on-page SEO of your site, then you can do building links by means of social bookmarking, social networking sites. You can earn links to your site by means of guest posting too. Focus on earning links from really high authority sites by offering something of value to them in exchange for a link.

of all the replies above..can anyone point to bhw threads giving detailed info on how to do this ?
