Hi experts,

I am working on a UK based site and targeting google UK for that. Now ranking for that website is start falling. Please suggest me best solution how i can stop drop in ranking and also suggest what i should do to maintain 1st pages keywords on 1st page.

If you have your rankings dropping. You want to check the health of the website for spammy links.

Ahrefs WMT comes handy for this.

check - any link is lost or spammy links

Must be an update, keep working by adding contents and links to the site
Do some on-page optimization, maybe this would help
Analyze what your competitors are doing, provide better value than them
Also, check your site speed, it may also affect the site rankings

Do a link and competitor content audit

Don't just focus on what you are doing. Pay attention to your competitors too.

Add some new quality articles. change the internal link structure. You will see the difference again

Do site audit and check for the spammy links.
Also, get to know about the recent updates and check whether your site affected because of it.
if so, get rid of those and start writing good content with user focused and keep posting it.

Thanks for your suggestion.

Check your backlinks that you have done. If you are facing drops in just for few number of keywords, it might be a dance. If all the keywords were dropping, you need to check your on page.

You need to keep your site updated with high quality articles and add more high quality links every month. You should maintain the link velocity.

might be a google update. Do not stress about it yet, but also keep posting content regularly and creating backlinks at a safe pace. Most of the times, sites affected by google updates regain their rankings after few months if they continue doing what they were doing before the update.

Check for spammy links and try building more high quality backlinks

Check below tips if ranking dropped
*check spammy link
*check your page speed
*check your page experience & audience behavior using google analytics
*create some authority backlinks
*update your content
*implement different type of schema makeup

Top-of-the-line content is the number one driver of your search engine rankings and there is no substitute for great content.

Don't use spam link while doing submission. Add high quality Content on daily basis. Do internal linking.

there has been an update recently, this might be the major problem,
keep adding content & build good links,
if you want to rank on page 1, then you have to get as much as the same content (length & kw density, structure, keywords used, etc..) as well as a better number & quality of links compared to the competitors

@shivanithakur - also is there a new #1 spot for your primary keyword or is it just your side?

what have you done over the last few weeks? did you make updates and go to GSC and have it reindex your pages multiple times? if so, this could be the culprit.
