My site is very slow, takes more than 10 seconds to load, one keyword was ranking at number 5, I was getting some clicks suddenly went to page 2, I feel like people not waiting is making ranking worse, but alot of people here and reddit said it does not matter, what do u think?

Website loading time has huge impact both on user-experience and SEO. Slow-loading websites will not rank high and visitors don't want to waste time waiting it to load. Is your website on WordPress?
 
Feel sorry for that. Yes speed is must for better UX. Opimize it for better speed and hope you will regain that position. And you should do it asap to regain it.

get a better hosting, use cloudflare and other tools to speed up

sometimes wordpress is an issue
try html straight up and things will go smooth
