Ranking and guest posts on another TLD

Hello all,

I have a European TLD. In my country in Europe there are for my niche very little guest post opportunities. Can I do guest posts for .com sites in English? There is no English content on my website however. And none of my competitors have .com backlinks. Is it fine to guest post on another TLD or could google think this is strange?

Also, if I'd make content in English too on my website. Could this rank for example in the US or would this be a lot more difficult because of my European TLD. And could making english content shift my website away from my main European language and rank lower for the money keywords in my country?

If you are getting different TLD guests posts than its good but keep in mind to get maximum amount of guest posts from your own TLD in your case Europe.
