In this forum there has been a lot of talk about ranking mediocre Youtube content, this question is specifically pertaining to top quality Youtube content - with a business model of not selling anything and making money strictly off of Youtube advertising. What would you do to get a lot (1,000,000) of subscribers if you had amazing content for Youtube (obviously besides posting more high quality videos) but just started out and had a small (15,000) amount of subscribers? The best way to get "big" is to post more high quality videos, but in the early stages what are some good strategies to follow? Possible JV if everything works out with my Youtube contact - will update more if people are interested.
I am actually doing the exact same thing right now... I started out popularizing small time medioce already famous content.... it was good, but it doesnt last long... so I have started a new channel high high quality contwnt with professional voice over with professionaly crwated videos... so far the response is good... this time I dont want to do anything blackhat, no buying of fake views or fake subs... no affiliate, no ppd. Strictky youtube monetization.. So far the response is good, in a total of 10 mil + channel views. And about $100-$175 a day stable with youtube adsense. Earlier the figure used to be $500-600 a day with mediocre content... but that doesnt last long... this time I am targeting simething like $1000 a day, sounds a littke far fetched . But my content is better that some news channels.. Still im looking to expand and explore new possibilities. Wat kind of work or help are you expecting exactly in JV ? As im also looking... Pardon my typos as im typing from a phone.
I think that to obtaim a long-term stable and growing income from a legit YT channel you have to focus on two key factors: 1) quality videos 2) being able to force those videos into the suggested videos column of already popular videos Boosting your videos in the beginning and positioning them in YT serps can only help so much in gaining traffic, the real goldmine in the long term is hitting those damn spots on popular videos pages.
If you think you have amazing content you can promote your videos using YouTube. That is, your video will be played as an ad, before a certain video begins in the selected places that you choose. That is how ALL the viral videos of 2013 were promoted. Advertising costs range between $5 - $250,000 dollars a day.
