Ranking a Wix Website?

Are there any issues / problems with ranking a Wix website? Is it harder for any reason or are there any downsides?

I rarely saw that site ranked on google but you can give it a shot. If I were you, I'd go with sites.google.com or any semi private web2.0 like Amazon AWS. They tend to get ranked higher.

It would be a custom domain, not a free wix.domain, would that make a difference?

Of course you can rank Wix websites, why would the CMS even matter ?

ouh I thought you're talking about a free wix. My question is, why not directly buy a domain with wordpress installed instead?

I tested Wordpress and I didn't really like the feel of it. Is Wordpress mainly for blogging sites?

Wix is worst than Wordpress.I can not see what are benefits from it.We run some test before 1.5 year and in sence of rankings wix sucks.

Nowadays you rarely find a sub-domain ranking at 1st page of Google. But you can give it a try.

World's largest content sites use wordpress these days.

You could use joomla or django but you'll need a PhD degree to run them.

I rank very highly using wix. Much easier to use than wordpress if you ask me.
