Ranking a Forum

    I just made a forum with vbulletin i bought it.

    I want 1k active members i currently have 10 and bunch of spammers my website is about education, i want like 50 daily post etc and real and active people i have facebook page etc

    any good idea what i should do?

    or should i buy seo and rank the website and ill get people to sign up and register

    sign up on postloop.com to get your forum populated with threads/posts

    Do you have a budget to invest into the forum? The most difficult thing to do is get that initial activity- even with traffic, this is unlikely to convert into registrations and new posts unless there's existing conversation visible on the forums. Mixing your investment between SEO to drive traffic, and perhaps paid posters and/or signing up to things like postloop as suggested above may be required.

    Used it before for several projects- success varies, mostly dependant on popularity of your niche and whether or not people who aren't particularly clued up about your forums subject will understand it enough to participate.
