All right guys i was reading an article on the web somewhere and this guy was talking bout how social bookmarking is if you want another source of traffic and that you dont need social bookmarking if you only want the search engines traffic, and that its more about Building quality backlinks and on page seo.

All right im making a website around this nice long tailed keyword in a highly competitive market under 800,000 and it looks like im the first to find it. I really want to try this method because im all ready tired of social bookmarking.

Is it possible to rank #1 in the big G if i only use these SEO Tactics.

*On page SEO, Anchor Text, Keywords linking back to the homepage etc
* Submit to Rss directories
* Submit to Site Map directories
* Make maybe 2-3 Unique articles on my niche and submit it to article directories Ezine Articles, Etc
* Use anchor text on forums and blogs related to my niche linking back to my homepage

PLEASE IF IM MISSING SOMETHING OR NEED TO TAKE FROM LIST TELL ME.

The point of this method is to rely more on quality backlinks and on page seo. I would still use social bookmarking but i would only use 1 account on each of the top 25 social bookmarking sites and only bookmark my website 1 time on each account, because i allready got all my accounts banned on digg 10 of them!!

You don't need to build links if other people do it for you naturally, but this take much time and you don't get much in return

Is it ok if i build 30-40 back links a day?

see angela and pauls backlinking thread on this forum in downloads (i think)

It somehow depends, I suggest you to make a blog related to your niche and start posting some useful and great articles there. Mix it with some conservative link building schemes + on-site SEO, then what you need is to brand yourself as an authority in that niche by promoting and communicating with other webmasters in your niche or other related niches.
If you want to get your business?s name out in the public, first you have to find blogs that are related to your business. Then by posting useful and intelligent information about the topics that pertain to your business, you can reach your targeted marketing group.
It takes some time, but it's well worth it as people gradually find your blog and and they finally will trust you.
