I have an idea and it implies buying TLDs with low competition keywords in order to rank as #1 on Google for them. From what I have read so far, doing something like this takes about a week to do. My question is.. would it hurt or harm me to Scrapebox blast the domain up? If it would hurt, what are other options?

Depends on how much you "blast" them. A brand new domain getting thousands of links right away would sandbox you and it could take a lot longer than a week to get to #1. Id start small and only blast about 100 links a day.

I would start small like 100 links a day this should be enough to get you to that #1 spot if the competition is low enough.
