RankerX or manual for tier 1?

Do you guys do tier 1 backlinks manually or use rankerx?

Trying to justify the high cost of rankerx and if it will really make a difference over doing it manually. By manual I mean simply using the same backlinks as your competitors. I was actually thinking of doing a combination of both - rankerx for newer tier 1 links and manual for using the same as competitors. Is this advisable?

I stopped using backlinking software 2-3 years ago. That doesn't mean that I'm retarded and can't comprehend the "value" of software generated backlinks directly to our money sites
 
Anything automated I'd probably use on tier 3. Tier 2 will probably be ok.

But Tier 1 is meant for semi decent links, the only reason you send to Tier 1 instead of money site is for that extra bit of safety whilst losing around 20% juice per link.

Anything automated is probably worthless.

@tazarbm - don't fall in the trap of arguing. you have rankerx guys here who want to argue and say did you use rankerx? how did you use it? prove it that it does not work? whole bunch of BS questions.

to others: the day of low value links as tier 1 are over. rankerx or other automated tools do not create high quality tier 1 links. it is that simple.

people take this as tools like scrapebox are worthless. far from it. backlinks is just a small part of scrapebox. there are so much you can do with these tools to boost up your seo efforts!

here's the thing, if you're doing client work, or building a social fortress around your own money site...do you really want tier 1 socials to be auto-generated? Just from a perspective of good branding practice, you should ensure your tier 1s look good because they're the sites your potential customers, or client's potential customers will come across quite frequently.
Now, the counterpoint to this is guys who are good enough at coding to make realistic autoblogs that look good even as money sites...but unless you're at that level, do your T1s manually.

tier 1 backlinks are the most important backlinks and since they point directly to your money site you want them to be as high quality as possible.

You can find them by googling for websites in your niche that accept guest posts and manually outreach to those websites' editors / webmasters to ask if they accept your guest post in exchange for a link back to your site (this method takes skill and patience, so beware!), you can also find them in the forum's marketplace, or in large databases of guest posting sites like postaga, rocketguestposting, etc
 
I use rankerx for tier 2 and 3. And after I put them in gsa for 2 tiers again.

Except for guest posts, what kind of tier 1 links I should find?
Do you use scrapebox or screamingfrog to scrape the links?
