hi

i ranked a fb page for a 40k search term, #1.

was expecting to get 1k+ visitors a day to my site

but at most im getting ~200

its pretty annoying

does anyone know why this happens or how i could improve it?

am i seriously losing 800+ clicks because its a facebook page?

is it because to get to the website they have to click twice? (once from google to the fb page, then from the link on the fb page to the site)

damn if anyone has any advice id totally be grateful. im sure i could be making way more..

Hey can you please tell me
How did you ranked and how you checked search term ?

Thanks

Yeah, having to click on the FB page then your site is defiantly losing you traffic, people are lazy as hell these days and 1 extra click can lose you a nice % of traffic

You would be better off actually ranking a website so they land directly on your website

Well yeah mostly, if people arent interested they just move on. Try to make some good FB posts related to your niche that makes people click, an unfinished post or sentence or something like that.

For crying out loud you are not the only one on the SERP.

There are other ten sites on the first page of Google for your keyword.

Basically, most of the traffic is divided among the top 4.

Another thing you must know is, some website conversion sucks
and a simple tweaks can bring about 200% conversion rate.
What it means is, FB page is a big distraction. You ranked it
because it's the only thing you can rank NOW.

The best you can do is:

1. Rank more pages for different keywords.
2. Tweak and tweak your site until you arrive at the most efficient conversion rate.

To bad you couldn't get statistics on your facebook page.

As the other members have said, the 40k search term is devided between the Top 10 pages of the serp , it is true that the first results gets the best CTR wich is arround 40%. So you should excpect 530 click per day on your facebook page. which means that you are losing 60% of the expected traffic.

Can't stand Facebook. Everything they do with their algorithm is to get you to pay more money into ads. I wouldn't doubt this is happening one bit. You're not crazy...

thanks all, i guess ill just tweak some stuff then.

the only time I've found it worth ranking a FB page is for reputation management. In fact they're pretty easy for this reason. I will actually make a second page for the company and put 2 pages up there to push bad shit off the front page. Set up the second as a fan site for the company.

It's natural FB pages are more on the social side. People who are looking for information, would obviously not go to a Facebook page.

Worth for Social Fuel and Brand Awareness to take your site. So, never disappointment about that.
