Ranked 5th than deindexed in less than a month ?! What did I do wrong

I'm SEO noob, just started testing and learning and I hope I'm not too late to join the party.
So I've being working on this Parasite for a bit, worked on a very easy keyword. Sent social signals, blasted it wit gsa I got it ranked 5th.
I've checked it last night and I couldn't find it any where ! after a while I realized that it was banned from google search.
Here's what think happened and please correct me if I'm wrong :
#3-Poor Content (as it was a test I wrote a 10min article 400 words)
#2-poor GSA list
#1-I'm still a total noob and I have no clue what I'm doing.
I'm not really bothered about this as I'm still learning but I just want to know I'm not wasting my time and Money; do parasites really work ?

Mate, if you send tons of spam to the money site you are gona have a bad time. Unless it's chum and burn (wich happened).

But this is how you learn, good luck in the next project!
 
If you use the same link build profile as other people, the footprints are going to get flagged, you gotta diversify with related categories in top alexa ranking sites, don't just ham in one area or you'll be sniped down by Google's algorithm
 
You actually did good for a start . Now make changes here and there and analyze them . Rinse and Repeat
 
what the hell? you blast GSA direct to moneysite? it's your biggest mistake
use tier 1 and tier 2 method
 
Parasites can work very well, they are not as fragile as own sites/domains, but they aren't invulnerable. A direct blast of spam was certainly not the best idea, additionally get some quality content if you use a parasite as a moneysite.

Long term, I wouldn't rely on parasites as money sites, the site owner could delete your account at any time. Really sucks if the parasite is ranking well.
 
If you're using GSA to blast to your money site, you're going to have to filter it.

I aim for low OBL and filter it with TF.
 
The OP makes no reference to blasting his money site! Why do people keep having a go at him for something he hasn't done lol.

Parasites work but I think you might have gone over should have let age and dripped the GSA blast over time for more longterm results

If you're doing C&B, you're going to hit a rock eventually. That's because Google doesn't like spam cookie cutter sites.

So here's the deal... few days ago I thought my parasite has been de indexed.

It turns out that the parasite has been bouncing for few days between the 8th page and the third pages... then BOOM ! I know it might be old news for many of you guys but for a total noob like me with 4 weeks of SEO experience this is a BIG DEAL ! and all the credit goes 100% to BHW .. (PS: I know I don't need to get my hopes high as this was relevantry a pretty easy keyword with low competion I didn't even monetize it just ranked the S***t out of it with a 5 min article and I know it wont stick for long as it has no good content and abvious spammy links. )
