One of my websites is ranked #2 on google .in for my desired search term which is searched 30000 times per month.

Does anyone know how I got ranked in India, but can't get ranked in google .com.

I don't have any links from indian sites, that I am aware of.

Check your site in google webmaster tools you must have selected India as your sites location.

I have not set up the site in google webmaster tools.

The domain is a .org of the keywords I am targeting. It ranks in the 200s for the keyword at google .com.

Any other ideas?

Did you get an India company to do SEO?

Only reason I ask is one time they added a TON of links to their own .in sites and called it SEO . . .

Needless to say, they did more harm than good.

No, I the only link building I have done is submitting to social networks.

im ranking no.1 in google.in, google.ca, google.com.pk, google.ph and number 8 in google.com

but even with these rankings im getting no sales.. im selling computer hardware btw.

life is unfair eh? :/

Have you done anything in Google webmaster tools? You might have selected India as your targeted geographic if you're not ranked well in any other google sites.

The site is in the travel industry, and it is a .org domain name. It is getting some traffic from google .in, but the traffic isn't converting like it would if I could get on the first page of google .com
