Only on websites organically.

I am working on both. Ranking a GBP is much easier than ranking a website. But websites also get ranked if you do the SEO properly.

you kinda have to do both if you want actual call volume. organic website ranking is great because its stable and google cant just wipe it out overnight with a random suspension. but map packs get the majority of local clicks anyway. managing gbp for rank and rent is just a massive headache lately with the verification sweeps. i usually focus on organic first then try to drop a gbp in once the site starts getting some impressions.
