Parasites like fb pages are easy to rank for easy / medium kws, try churn and burn with FB pages.

Fb pages ranks really well But you will not get that much traffic directed to your website and lots of people ignore them. Better go with other parasites.

The FB page is a parasite that easy to rank. You need to generate backlinks for it.
If you want to see the top ranking with the FB page in short time, you select keywords that have low competition.
If you want to make money with it, you need to create many FB pages with the easy keywords or one FB page with the hard keyword (that has high traffic and profitable).

If you are talking about ranking one single page then I would say that it is very easy to rank so just go with simple SEO tricks,it will be ranked good.

Fanpage Karma is best for face book ranking .
I've had excellent results ranking FB pages. You can spam the heck out of them due to insane authority. GSA, SE, SB, XR you name it. Make sure your page is set up to reflect good onsite seo so you rank well for the keywords you are targeting (preferably your FB page name IS your keyword).
Forget socials..they will do NOTHING.

It depends upon your niche, But I dont really give preference to fb pages to use as parasites.
I'm spamming now on low comp. keywords with tiered link building and some contexual link spam. My main KW is my fb.com/keyword and my site title.
Just one question before I test the rest myself.
I build as much links as I can before I send them to indexification and instantlinkindexer. Index them as I build the backlinks? (automatically from gsa) Or dripfeed them like 3k/day for around 3 weeks?
Any other suggestions for parasites mate?

The advice in this thread made me want to rank a facebook page now. Hopefully the traffic is good.

Ranking Facebook page is waste of money and time, Better try to rank youtube/dailymotion videos or some web2.0 it will drive more traffic to your website than fb page.
I've never had a problem with link velocity when spamming parasites, especially a whale like FB. Don't drip.
As far as traffic, if you see a google search result on page one for a facebook page or dailymotion, what brand is more recognizable and would be clicked more often by the masses..?
My facebook page on page one does JUST FINE for my keyword.
I just WISH it would send some juice to the sites linked from it...but I'll take the visitors and sales just the same.
