Rank Drop After Made some Changes.

What would you do if one of your page post ranks drop from the first page to nothing? I mean, from position 8 to 0.

I suddenly change the meta description, and after that, it's gone.
-Return the old meta description - No movement
-Remove the redirect domain - No movement
IDK this one, but it's gone, still index, though.

How can I get back on track?
Rewrite the article?
Add/update more content?
Trash the link and make a new one?

Well, some of my other page posts, which I also change the meta description IDK what I'm thinking this time. Most of them are now dancing. But that one I mentioned above is gone. This changing stuff happens after the last December update.

It's been 3 Weeks now. When the rank drop I revert back the meta and no update within a week now I remove the 301 still the same. Still waiting this time.

Yeah other pages are dancing as we speak. but the site I mention above with 301 redirect is dead.
When I found out the meta changes that I made are not good after a week I revert it back and some pages are bouncing back but not the same as before they are on the red tide.
 
After making the new meta description, it will take some time see the results. Google always take some time to evaluate the pages. Update the article and send some links to the page.
 
If you changed the meta description, You can wait till while google craweling and update the content regulary,

Also get a backlinks from quality sites.

Actually 10 Page post the one I mention above doesn't move at all but the rest is dancing.

are you using google search console to recrawl your pages after your updates? if so, stop! using it once is ok. but more than once in a week or so, will result in negative serp result. this is what I found on my side. i stopped using that reindexing tool.

Yeah I did this every time I update my content or update on the specific page post.

I highly doubt that changing the meta description has caused it to drop that severely.

You've been hit, on a specific page, or there is an indexation issue.

Check if it has internal links to it, if you've over optimised those internal links for the specific keyword, the same for external. Check it isn't anything stupid like being blocked in Robots.txt or noindex tag. Tweak a slight bit of the content, and again if you've been too aggressive with the particular keyword, reduce the percentage of times it appears.

Resubmit to GSC, test live version and then request indexing if no issues come up.

Alternatively, and it's a longer burn, create a second page that's a complete duplicate bar a slight url tweak and redirect the old one too it - will take a while to get your rankings back, but should happen.

Yeah that would be my last resort cr8 a second page. If adding more content is not working. Thank you so much sir.
 
May be you lose the meta keywords or keyword in the meta descritpion is missed from google bot
 
Increase your page depth with the optimized content and keywords on proper places in meta nd header tags, content.

Improve your internal links and backlinks quantity as well quality. Fetch your pages with the webmaster and wait for some days to get some positive results.

Don't get backlinks for the same targeting keyword. You should get for long tail, generic keywords and raw URLs to avoid spamming. And try to avoid get 100s of backlinks from single week or days. Instead of trying with quantity l, try quality backlinks. You'll get better results at sure.
