It's possible to rank .com.br domain in the US SERP without many headache? Or will be a lot harder? Keep in mind that my website is built for the brazilian audience. But i want to rank some pages in the US.

I want to rank for English terms. Just 5 or 10 keywords(not much competitive) But instead of making one newborn site just for these keywords, i want to use my main website, which have some authority. i.e: xxxx.com.br/us/

It will be harder, but not impossible.

A .com.br is automatically geotargeted to Brazil, so anyone who has his site geotargeted to the US will have an easier chance to rank than you. If you can properly set up alternate language tags and maybe geotarget the /us/ subfolder by using Search Console you'll have a chance to rank.

geo location is also important but content can override.

If you have accounts from social media such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ etc and the great number of followers from the US, you can share your links with them and get traffic from there.:)

So, between three options. What would you take ?

- Newborn .com
- "Old" .com.br
- (new) Ecommerce site with dedicated blog, where i will post these articles.

Keep in mind that i wanna post just 15 or 20 articles(english), at max.

It really depends on how much time you want to spend on it. A separate site is probably better, but will cost you more time and effort in terms of maintenance and linkbuilding for example. If you have the time/budget go for separate sites and add alternate language tags + geotarget the .com domain to the US.
