rank category without backlinks

Hello,

I have a domain with RD1000 and i created 3 months ago a new category and still new category don't have backlinks and i want rank it. Now is ranked #30 / #50. My question is:

I can start build exact anchors backlinks to this category without fear until arrived 1% of total backlinks?

For example, in this case for arrived to 1% i could build 10 exact anchors.

I have another question, if i only build branded backlinks (imagine i can buy backlinks in 100 stronger newspapers) to this category, i could rank #1?

I understand your domain has 1000 RD, but the category url itself has 0, so you still need to mix up your anchors when you start building links to that specific url. You don't need to be too cautious with link building as your domain already has backlink profile and history, but still don't overuse exact anchor on the category url.
Getting #1 with 100 strong links depends on the competition and your on-page mostly, but you will prob get good results if the links are really strong.

then i can do 2 exact anchor backlinks and 2 branded backlinks for this new category without problems until arrive to 1%?
