What r the steps to follow like how to find keywords....I have existing articles but none are ranking
 
to find keywords you should use some tools like ahrefs or semrush. There is a lot of discussion on the forum

Brainstorm your niche. Thats all you need to do, and take advantage of clickbait titles already established.
Like "Toasters that passed our ultimate test"

Depends on what your site is, what niche are you in?
Sports, Fitness, Fashion...etc

There are many big blogs in all these niches, and you can research their most popular pages, and build similar using ahrefs or semrush.
 
I think looking at the competition already indexed blog you might be lucky.

Google new content update rules if u follow them might give you an edge in indexing height.

If the competition not using the new algo google content update you might beat the competition on that keyword.

Google did realise a new format of writing it wants to see in it algo and give the new format higher indexing results

It’s definitely possible to rank without backlinks.

But, you have to nail few things...

You have to focus on the value of content.

Long-tail kws - low volume, see what competitors do, check their on-page SEO, etc...

Find something that ranks, something you feel comfortable reading, try to replicate in your own unique style.
 
kd (keyword difficulty) less than 10, but choose a search volume that is not too low because otherwise it is not worth it if there are no searches for that keyword. There are also other methods such as spying on competitors, on ahrefs blog you should find all the answers you are looking for.

i see that you already got some good answers right here , but here is a thing you should know , you can use your other blog posts to link back to a certain post you want to rank and this will give it more authority and ranking

I suggest to choose the low competition keyword with high search volume and publish a lengthy article.
 
Possible but takes time. If your niche is unique and less competitive.
Promote your site with high quality lengthy attractive content with low competitive high search volume keyword
Share those readable content in social media.

A website often crawled by bots start ranking for certain keywords. Using /stuffing some keywords and their variables, you can give it a direction to the keywords you want / need to rank for.
