Is it possible to rank 1st without GMB? How hard is it?

i just used the easy way to get my listing in a location there but im not from the us so i just got scammed they suspended my adress after 24 hours from adding that adress the lady who sold me the service used to sell her adress i guess :/
gmb is going willld !!
at least i just ost 35$
 
Yes it can be done, but you will lose a lot of potential leads, sometimes the gmb alone can generate more leads then the actual site.
 
Depends on the business. I can get lots of leads in certain niches by ranking local landing pages. Of course, I have a few GMBs but not in every city and ironical not in the cities with the most calls either.
 
u can get a good amount of leads if your landing pages are good with optimized SEO
