So up until now I've only outsourced my seo work but now I've found the "golden nugget" in my opinion 9000+ a month and the competition looks like this : wwwDOTscreencastDOTcom/t/UQ2VD51yE . Considering the competition is insanely low I'm thinking of ranking this myself, but since till now I only outsourced it I don't really know the 1,2,3 steps. Anyone care to direct me to a WSO or something like that ?

If you are good at writing or have a source who can write high quality articles you can try to build link through guest posts. This technique is very time consuming, but links from those sources is 100% white hat, and will never be banned or devalued by google. Try to prospect some links with this query:
{keyword} ?guest blogger? OR ?guest post? OR ?guest article? OR ?guest column?
Where {keyword} is a closely related to what you are trying to rank for. For example if you are selling gadgets, you might type in {technology}. Once you see the results you will need to outreach bloggers and offer them to write a guest post for their blog.

I would suggest EMD (exacly match domain) for that keyword, setup a wordpress blog there with even 2-3 articles on the keyword you want to rank for (have it in the title of those post) and build some backlinkis. If the competition is as you described than just the wordpress blog after getting indexed should get a high position
