Random Backlinks = Random Results.

I think you are right , strategy always beats randomness , especially in SEO . I do follow a simple plan instead of just guessing what might work . It usually comes down to being consistent and making small improvements over time . Random actions might bring short results , but they rarely last in the long run.
 
It depends on your goal. Random links can help you get pages indexed quickly, but few backlinks from high-relevant sites to your niche that have existing credibility are going to be worth more than non-industry backlinks.
 
I am trying to follow a simple strategy, focus on relevant links and good content instead of random backlinks.
