I am currently trying out ragebait content on Reels and it's pretty fun to do, especially replying back to comments with further ragebait. Algorithm-wise, it's been pretty effective and helped with audience search. For long-term stability, I wouldn't say it's something that one should rely on.

Ragebait is great for pumping vanity metrics, but angry commenters don't convert. It's only good for raw CPM or dumping trash traffic to a CPA offer. If you ever try to pivot that account into a legitimate brand later, you're going to have a massive SERM nightmare trying to clean up the negative footprint. Churn and burn it, just don't expect to build any real equity

It makes you feel great but I have my doubts in whether the people being ragebaited will even join an email optin lol.

For initial growth would you say it's good? I'm more of a music artist so for me it's for about exposure at my stage no matter the costs rn. I think now and then it's optimal to have a ragebait posts in order to keep engagement up. But I agree if this were another niche it would be costly.
 
These attention-grabbing tricks only work temporarily and fade away quickly. But when it comes to women, it lasts forever—even for billions of years.

Lol it's for sure not effective for brand accounts but as a music artist I've noticed listening rates going up since I started posting this type of content.

if you're that type of person that is good. but if you're not and trying to be a professional ragebaiter, careful coz this takes a toll IRL, stress can be quite a factor to it
 
Ragebait works short term because it drives comments and boosts reach. But it builds the wrong audience and can hurt trust over time. Good for spikes not for long term brand.

Ragebait always gets reactions. More comments = more reach. It's just risky long term, since you can attract the wrong audience.
 
works cuz it spikes engagement fast, comments fly in and algo loves that. problem is audience quality turns bad over time and trust drops. good for quick reach, not for building anything stable
 
If your goal is just to get engagement and traffic, why not. But as you said, long term wise, it's not really amazing if you want to build a "community" LOL.
 
Yes, this is only for when you're short on ideas, and if you overuse it, your channel will become boring.
 
Its good for getting exposure; however you just need to make sure those users follow the profile for it to be something where you get them as an audience .

It's great for building viewership, but bad for building a brand. There is also no chance you will build a loyal community, and depending on how far you take it you could suffer a shadowban
