Hi guys, what good does backlinks from Reddit and Quora do to websites? Does it increase domain rank? Etc

in my humble opinion the best value you can get out of these 2 sites is traffic, but to get this benefit you must place your link in articles that actually get traffic one way or another.
There's also the high authority that these domains carry (I think that both of them are over 90 DA) and this increases the authority of your domain, too. Not by much, but it does

Both are good. I personally prefer Reddit, but Quora has been useful too.

You should always mix backlinks. These 2 sites are also good to include.

From my experience ; Links from Reddit are more valueble then Quora if you compare it in terms of Domain metrics.
So I would say, for building Domain authority (High DA/High TF) - Reddit the best.
For getting laser targeted traffic - Quora will be considered as the best.

You should use them for driving traffic to your site but not as backlinks. They don't pass link juice but can help you diversify your profile and improve your authority. If you don't have several high DA/DR links, these links won't show any difference in your SERP rankings.

Both sites are mainly for concerning traffic purpose. Better use both to increase traffic for your site.
These sites have little bit effective for improving in domain metrics.
Reddit is more valuable and it covers more topic with tons and tons of information.
Even Quora has valuable information Which mainly for traffic purpose alone.

Reddit is a better choice because, let’s face it: it’s harder for your link to stay up on that place.
Unless you are the admin for a subreddit and you're just posting your own stuff all day, every day, good luck getting mediocre quality link up on Reddit.
You can put it up, but it won't stay up.
Do you see where I'm coming from?
I suggest that if you're going to play the Reddit game, focus first on building credibility—become an authority in your niche by sharing third-party content and just basically being helpful.
And once you've established enough karma, go ahead and promote your own stuff, but mix in other high-quality content. That's how you throw off the haters.
Also, it would help if you promote only pages from your site that have fewer ads or, better yet, no ads at all.
If you're able to do this, then you get higher-quality backlinks.
Quora’s quality depends on how you link from Quora. It’s still useful.

Both of them great, Quora can bring targeted traffic to your site and get traffic from Google since Quora rank pretty well on Google SERP. While Reddit can be good if you build your own subreddit. In terms of instant, traffic Quora can bring instant free traffic when you put your link on your answers.
