Quora - still possible for link building?

Hi all!
Just have a question regarding Quora - have it moderation become more suspicious?
I have started link building there like 1 year ago and have a profile with 200k+ answers views. 50% of these posts were with commercial backlinks, 40% of them just with informative links to the same website.
This profile is still alive.

A couple of days ago, I started two new projects and all posts with links were deleted (I kept the balance with non-links posts).
So my question is - has someone noticed any new type of moderation or i am just unlucky?

All links I posted with new account got deleted (the answers are collapsed). All links I post with my old account (2k+ answers, few years old, never really used commercially) stays untouched, even in 1 word answer.
 
My friend has the same situation, for 6 months everything was fine and then deleted
 
Think it just depends.

I had an answer with a link deleted a few days ago. I appealed it and won, the answer I used was referenced from the website (which was my own) told them that I only pasted the link as it was a reference for the answer. They put it back up.
 
I've had a few accounts wiped lately. It's not so easy anymore.
