Yes they are but it’s a long game and you should look to diversify your income streams.
AI really helps with promotion and putting together quiz ideas. Not sure I would trust if for questions fully

2. I use the WPquiz plugin from Mythemeshop. I have the pro version. Tried a few others out but kept coming back to this one.
There is a forum member who has made their own plug in which looks interesting but I haven’t tried.
For promoting I use Excel+Canva for shorts. Keyword research, and forums. I like to choose subject matter that has die hard followers like sports fans or tv show fans.
3. Several Ways but these are the main ones people over look:

Print on Demand Products
Etsy Store
There’s another two big ones but you have to keep some secrets.
Thats all on top of display ads or occasionally sponsorship.

Like most other types of websites, traffic acquisition is usually the main challenge. If you've figured out a way to acquire traffic then you could bank hard with it. Quiz content are difficult to rank or rarely rank, at least on their own. Though I've seen a few in the past rank.

Organic is difficult you really need to target keywords that include phrases like quiz, trivia etc. Then it’s breaking it down into smaller terms like
Liverpool fc quiz 2022-2023
Liverpool fc quiz 2021-2022
etc.
Make sure you interlink your quizzes so that people try and do more than one quiz at a time.
I really find forums and groups etc are the best bet.

Trivia quiz sites can still make it, but you'll need to get smart. Aim for niche topics, use detailed keywords, and spread the word through social media and forums. Make sure your quizzes load fast on phones and tablets, and link quizzes together so users stick around.
Honestly, I'm not sure if I would invest in a quiz-only site. I'd rather run an authoritative website with content on a specific topic and then add relevant quizzes for better user engagement. I did that with the Nuclear Engagement plugin - it automatically adds cool AI-generated quizzes to every blog post. People are staying longer now.
