I'd really recommend that Allen Carr book... It was how I quit cold turkey. I'd tried a couple of times before and quit for a while but the Allen Carr book was what really tipped me over the edge mentally into being a permanent non-smoker. It's deliberately repetitive and hypnotic, it really drills in on a subconscious level why you don't want to smoke anymore. I haven't even thought about having a cigarette for years.

AS lighting the 3rd cig I am doing this so I will live a little longer. Most people who know me and Amanda(she has her own acct bhamanda now)know I am sick and I want as many years as I can get.You do not think about how bad you want to live until some doctor sets your clock. So being the defiant person I really am I will push further than they say I will. They barely understand what it is so how do you go by what they say.If they are right then by getting healthier in eating and smoking and even curb the things I know are no good for me becomes easy.

If you can leave the last cig untouched you'll made it to quit smoking.

    Just remember dude,

once you quit, don't go anywhere near a cigarette. I quit 2 and a half years ago and thought I was fine. Then one day I got drunk and decided to take one just for old times sake. Stoopid. Now I'm hooked again. Jeez that sucks...

You know what they say - once a smoker always a smoker.

So best of luck and hope you'll succeed and leave that sh*t for good!

My opposite opinion: If you can quit surrounded by cigars, you'll resist better to not start smoking when everyone around you lights a cigar. Thus you'll have better chances to made it.

Goodluck bro. I am offiically 9 days cold turkey. Doesn't sound like a lot to non-smokers, but smokers can appreciate it.
