This is a note to myself primarily. Don't use it as motivation, cause motivation is fake. If you want to be successful in an area of life, you have to wake up everyday wanting to work on it, not wait to be motivated, or rely on motivation. But for those who are out there working hard day in day out, this one is for you, to show that you're not alone.
It's 3AM here. After watching the UFC event tonight, I couldn't go to sleep. Why? I literally could not get it off my mind how bad I want to be in that octagon. I dazed off for hours thinking about the reality of finally making it to the UFC, as I had indescribable feeling in my heart.
Throughout 7th and part of 8th grade, I struggled immensely with schizophrenia. After getting through that, it was all far from over. I grew up in a rough family in a rough side of town. As matter as a fact, that is still my situation. But, I will spare the details about the crime I was around/in. Every time I tried to ditch my lifestyle that I knew would kill me (because I would never be arrested), I went to IM as a form of making money. This was an up and down journey.
I just graduated high school with a GPA just enough to pass, a 59.8% in one of my classes to clutch a credit, and a shocking 1100 SAT score. I've been a brand new person since November. Black and white to the person I used to be. My rough situation remains still...
All I want is to be in the UFC. It's my passion. I know I will be there, but I cannot wait. I want it now. It's tough on me leaving the gym, knowing I won't be able to make the morning practice, I will have to wait. I hated waiting. Now I'm getting better at it.
It starts with me training full-time. But to train full-time, I will have to support myself part-time. I know with $1,500/month I can survive and start achieving my goals, although my financial goals are higher. This time, I quit quitting. I will not quit anymore. After going insane after thinking about being in the UFC for hours, I flipped my laptop open and randomly wrote this. Now I will get to work.
I don't know what else to say. I just want to make it this time with IM, move out of this side of town, and start living my dream. I know it will happen.
Would be cool if some of you guys DM'd me, could have a chat. It's lonely way to the top.
But I will make it, I quit quitting.
