Quick widget backlinks - PR & traffic building

Hi there

Quick tip for those who want to build up a few quick backlinks through widget building;

1. Head to Newgrounds.com or any popular flash portal, and grab a new, popular game.
2. Upload the .swf to your own server (or anywhere you can find to host it)
3. Pop over to widgetbox.com and throw the game's embed code into a widget, along with a few backlinks to yourself under the keywords you're targetting.
4. List your new widget under Widgetbox's game section ( http://www.widgetbox.com/tag/games )

Following this being published, you'll appear under newest games - you'll get webmasters who manually take your game and add them to their directory, along with certain folks (such as myself ) who use a scraper and add you to an arcade website.

This will get you some easy PR1-3+ backlinks, along with with a couple of direct clicks to your site. Always a great way to promote a new website when you're short on cash.

There are of course other faster, automated methods which I may share in the future

Also, it says something about making your game ad compatible. Do you do this?
