Here's another psychological trick that will help you boost your conversions on most CL(or non CL) related campaigns where your offering say a job or a house or a free toaster etc. When your asking your potential lead to fill out an offer, they feel like they are being taken advantage of and therefore most of the smart ones either disregard you as spam/scammer or they don't want to be taken advantage of. A way to bypass this metal block is to give them an option, however you need to anticipate which way they will choose. Many magicians use this method to complete tricks. They give you the "illusion" that you are choosing a card of your own free will, however they have manipulated you in a way that they already know what you are going to do before you do it. The simplest version of this would be for a job offer. Lets say you sent somebody a reply email that says : Go to my site and enter your zip, that way i can know which branch you will be working with. Or you could say this: Well, you have two options at this point. You can call us at (xxx) 555-5555 Ext 1276 . When the assistant answers ( her names sherri ) ask to talk to Mark from location services. The other option is to go to our homepage www.link.com and enter your zip. We will automatically place you and give you further instructions. Of course we already know that these CL people are very lazy to say the least, and they really don't want to call, enter the extention, and talk to the HEAD of location services. I personally don't promote via CL very much anymore but I do use this trick ( along with others ) in almost all of my other campaigns. That was just an example, as this can be implemented into any campaign to raise conversion rates. Enjoy.
