I have noticed on all my sites (about 10 websites), each page that I placed a content locker on (over 100 pages across those websites), not one of those pages have been indexed by google. It has been like this for the past 2 years.

I ranked first for some high search keywords, but none of the inner pages that have a content locker, have been indexed by google.

This is based off webmaster tools, and doing a site:yourdomain.com search.

    That is all!

    Thanks

Don't install the content locker yet if the page had not yet been indexed. It takes time ;)

Good point there. I never thought about it that way. I will test it out and see if the page will stay indexed after I add the content locker

does google frequently de-index content locker sites?

i noticed some old sites of mine that all had content locks over top the whole page are now all deindexed by google, so is it best to content lock individual things within the site to prevent this?

the pages aren't really de-indexed. It's more like they are now ignored.

So, if your site is suffering from that, then install the locker on pages stacked lower into a silo structure... maybe 2 layers lower. Then internal link to open pages and also to locked pages.

I guess what I'm suggesting is don't lock the pages that you want Google to see by keeping them away and higher in the hierarchy of site structure. Use email capture for access to content, then send them the link to the content page in an autoresponder.
