QUICK TIP:Don't let trial software limitations stop you!

I've been searching high and low for the last 24 hours to find a way to extract emails from trial versions of various email extractors, just when I was at breaking point I found this site - http://www.abbyyonline.com

For my purposes, I was using atomic email extractor to harvest thousands of email addresses however as you probably know, the free trial version doesn't let you export the addresses nor does it even let you cut and paste.

My solution- use the "Fine reader Online OCR" tool on the site I mentioned above. It's free and what it does is basically recognise TEXT from and IMAGE file and converts it to a word document. I tried it and it works PERFECTLY. I can now harvest and easily save all the emails I want by simply taking a screenshot of the results and savving as an image file then uploading to this site and converting it to text.

I suspect this tool could be usefull for many other things, which I am not currently aware of, so I thought I'd share it with the good folks of BHW!

You can also do this with ever so powerful Lencom email extractor!

If you end up with a long list (as I'm sure you will), you will need a screen capture tool to capture the entire dialog before you send it to OCR.

This is ok if you have loads of time to take and then convert hundreds of screen shots! Time is money, so why don't you just buy the software?

So many seem to love just throwing money around sometimes for no reason or because they are just plain lazy/stupid. Keeping profits high while keeping costs low is what business is all about and for some reason people tend to forget that when they start making alittle money.

My thoughts exactly, I can't afford to pay for the software just now, so I'm just trying to make the most of the free tools I have 'til I got some green power

I used a similar program to use content from protected pdf files.
