I feel that people in SEO marketing could make more money learning the back end of the systems and other proprietory search engine systems. Example, ebay, amazon, listia, quora, yahoo answers, ect

Like that's not what BHW members do already by trying to reverse engineer things, but if you've got a way to access the back end of such systems then go ahead and share your knowledge.

that is why we now have concepts like CORA that really dives down to see all major factors of ranking and hence providing you a roadmap. It taks solid skills to figure out exactly what to do with that roadmap. average users cannot do it. expertise is needed.

The reason I posted the comment that I posted was because it's true. What do you think SEO people have been trying to do all this time? Reverse engineer search engines to gain a better understanding in what works to rank a site and what doesn't. The problem is that Google and the likes are way too big to reverse engineer as such companies have more data than any single SEO person, group of people, or even a huge company will ever have.

I feel that people in SEO can do pretty well by learning the front end of systems too. There are non technical people who do better than many, just with ads and affiliate marketing. Of course, they could do well by learning the back end too, which is like stating the obvious. I can see that there are some touchy people here in this thread. Let me disclaim that I am aware that I have less post count but know that I can't increase it by posting in the lounge. I just wanted to contribute my nothingness to this meaningless thread.....because this is the lounge and anything goes here.

My question is how are you going to learn the back end of an online system when you don't have access to it? You can't learn it, you can only try to reverse engineer it.
