    Hi All,

Understand how to make a website, make money off adsense etc. just having problems selecting the best keywords.

Two quick questions id really appreciate your help on.

When analysing if a keyword is good:
    * How do you work out the CPC estimate??
    * How do you work out how strong the currently ranked results already are?? Whats a good level to look for?

Sorry for the simple question, we all have to start somewhere, would really appreciate your advice and any sites or tools you use to help you in this respect.

    D

    There are a lot of things to consider when you're doing keyword research, some factors;

    - Domain Age
    - Page Rank
    - Indexed Sites in Google
    - Page Backlinks
    - Domain Backlinks
    - .edu / .gov links
    - If the sites are in DMOZ & Yahoo Directory
    - Referring Domains to Domain
    - Referring Domains to Page
    - Keyword in Title
    - Keyword in Description
    - Keyword in URL
    - Keyword in Header
    - Google Cache Age

I use Market Samurai when I do keyword research, and strongly recommend it.

You have to just test. Thats what SEO is, just a whole lot of testing.

Edit: If you have scrapebox or seospyglass look at the #1 and #2 sites backlinks, if they have a ton of high PR links primarily on homepages then its going to cost you to rank for that keyword. If only a few high PR links then, you just need to go find some high PR blogs and leave some comments on them. Of course theres more to it, if your competitors are using pumper sites or link pyramids;-)
