Hey guys, quick question: If you were in the market for a VPS provider, would you consider a provider with a coupon or voucher code, or one with slightly cheaper VPS plans? Assume both providers have the same specs on their VPS plans. Thanks!

I usually choose my provider based on a factor of:

- Reviews. (I'm looking for comments about up-time).
- Specs.
- Customer service. (Here I'm looking for how long it takes them to get back to me about down-time of the VPS).
- Price comparisons for a year of the VPS or at least 3 months.

I personally use CheapWindowsVPS, but there are many providers out there.

Also, thread moved to the web hosting section. Good luck in your search, OP! :)

Hello, personally I wouldn't look at the price. I would base my decision on how long is the provider in the market and what are their reviews from the customers.
How do you know if the provider can be trusted or not? I'm having a hard time finding a cheap provider I could trust because reviews on the review platforms sometimes sound a little too good to be true plus anybody could have written that iykyk

Do you find it more convincing if the provider has a strong social media presence or content? or do you think i should just trust what their affiliates are saying on forums?

Friends, reviews, google, bing, forums
ask around.
Talk to their support, although, yes sometimes u may get a retarded cs but that also means, when you are in need of support if you purchased that product. There is a chance, you may get some stupid cs too.
Ask for a trial, ask for test.
Above anything else, go small first, it may be slightly more expensive than going balls deep in a 2 year plan.
But at least 1 month $$ is better paying 2 years just ot know 2 weeks down the line this provider is shit.
