Yes, it has some SEO benefit. From what you say it will also drive a ton of direct traffic which is good.

But expect any major rank increase from it.

Also, embed the video itself on the page you are linking to.

You can add the link in your page, embed it in your page that is the link won't be visible but when someone will click on that word, he or she will be automatically redirected to the link.
