quick question regarding trading

im new to crypto trading so i got a question.
Lets say i invest 500$ to a coin.
In 10 hours i check and the same amout of coins is worth 1000$.
What do i do at this point do i convert it to bitcoin and then continue trading from that point on or what ?

you convert it to bitcoin and buy another coin that you think is going up
