Quick question on referrer tags

If a user is on Page A which contains a link to Page B and clicks this link, the referrer tag is no doubt going to be Page A.

However, if a user is on A and then types in the URL to B in the address bar and gets to the same page that way, will the referrer still show as coming from A?

No. The referrer will be blank.

referrer is an HTTP value inside the HTTP request, in your example if you are talking about IE or Firefox it will be blank, but if it is via some kind of software you can control this value and even fake it with a little script.
