    Hi everyone,

I've recently made a nice stable income stream from small adsense sites, and with extra time on my hands I was thinking of creating a large authority site.

I was debating over one in the health niche, but after some of your opinions - I was thinking of running a news site.

Although, I'm slightly confused on how to build it.

Any other authority site, you can easily pick keywords according to your selected niche, but looking at news sites, wouldn't they be ranking for thousands upon thousands of keywords which include celebrity names, upcoming films etc. Does this mean that there's much more work needed in terms of keyword research for a news site, or is it simply writing a trending article and getting some good backlinks for the meantime pointing back to it?

I had a small site a while ago where I would simply spin popular articles, and they ranked fairly and did a good job.

However this time I was thinking of doing everything white hat, with unique content written by myself - I was just wondering, if I could make the effort to produce a few articles per day, with white hat SEO techniques such as press releases and news submissions to be able to create a somewhat successful news authority in my chosen news niche.

Or is a news authority site something which is practically impossible for a one-man team to pull off successfully? (I obviously would outsource once the site starts to do well, though).

Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you!
