Quick question for the proxy gurus here.

I'm looking to set up some proxy sites like this: http://newdailyproxies.blogspot.com/ but I'm not going to use free blogspot accounts. Does anyone know what scripts, if any, they are using on that site? I assume they have some type of software scanning proxies and auto uploading the good ones periodically to the site. Can anyone help me out on how they are doing this.

I don't think they use custom scripts. It could be done manually. They just have fast VPSs, scrape proxies, and let an app check them in the night. Afterwards, when it's done they simply post it.
Hopefully someone with better knowledge about this will post here. :)
 
they look to me like regular scraped proxies.
high death rate due to the fact with scraping them, everyone
else with scrapers scraping proxies pretty much all get the same
ones, thousands of people all testing the same same proxies = high death rate
dont last long, checked the list myself as i was board
70% transparent proxies . lots of CN proxies which are good for nothing
and 9090 proxies also rubbish.
filtered there list by hand down from 2000 to 1071 proxies worth testing.
200 where Google passed

This could also easily be automated with a simple crontab calling a PHP script to publish the last proxys found in a txt document or in your database.
 
Thanks guys. I'm not looking at it like most people would. I have an idea on how to monetize sites like this. If anyone wants to show me how they'd do it, I'd be happy to share my ideas ;).
 
Do you want a completly automated system or a semi-automated system?

If you want to make it with WP, I could help you to make the script to automaticaly post the latest tested proxies (based on a database or a simple txt file).
This is enought to publish tested proxy list as often as you want with crontab.

If you want to make it with bloger: ubot will be the solution (for scraping and publishing).

I guess the proxies are just scraped/harvested, nothing fancy like said before
