Quick Question For The Flipping Experts

This is a quick question for the website flippers on BHW. I am very proficient in various programming and scripting languages and usually like to hand code my sites and I can control the designs easier, and also cheaper than using other CMS options. I have used Wordpress before but am really not a big fan of the platform. As I have began to add more and more sites to my portfolio and as I look to the work neccessary now and the work neccessary of the future I see where selling some of my lower profit sites one day would make sense. Before anyone asks I have none that I am selling now.

My question is when the time comes to sale a site would it be better if it was done in wordpress? Can you sale hand coded sites just as easily or is there some difference. Are buyers willing to pay more for Wordpress sites than hand coded?

I have tried to do some research on my own by looking at sites like Flippa but cannot really find a way to tell if the sites for sale are wordpress, hand code, or some other type of CMS. If there is a big difference then I would like to start using wordpress but if not then I would continue hand coding as I currently do.

Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated.

People tend to prefer wordpress as it's a very easy to use plateform. I've seen aswell some coded website but I can say for sure that people prefer easy work there !

Hand coded as in completely manual? or as in you rolled your own CMS?
If there is no CMS at all, I think it's a hard sell. Maintaining and adding to manual websites is too much work for most people. Most of your potential customers probably don't even know how to do that, and unless they already have a knowledgeable VA , they will probably pass. Unless it's making enough money to really justify the effort...
I'd personally convert it to wordpress if you're planning on selling it.

well wordpress is definitely the easiest one and has some great themes and different templates that we can use. Me and some people I know learned to used simply by watching some tutorials on youtube. Therefore, maintaining a manual website is a hassle for most people.

Wordpress is the easiest platform to work with and most "Flippas" like easy work.

I think you would find it difficult to sell a website if there was not an easy to understand backend to it.
Also, even if there were an easy to understand backend - I personally wouldn't buy a site like that as you are the only individual in the world who could fix a problem, should it occur. Whereas Wordpress and the like have support systems.

Does @meathead1234 still frequent these forums? He has sold a shed load of sites, he might even have quantifiable figures on the subject.
