Quick question about siloing

I've been reading many guides from many different people and still not sure what do they mean.

Lets say I have simplest silo site strucutre. One silo called "games". And other silo called "software" (but forget about it now)
And games contain 5 supporting pages "<game titles>"
Soo I need to link (in games silos) from each Supporting pages to "games" silo and to all other supporting pages in that silo?
Or should I link from games Silo to supporting pages? Or both?

Silo is quite confusing and it all depends upon how you build your website. If its wordpress then things get quite complicated. But there are themes and plugins available that could help.
