Ok, just recently got Market Samurai (yes I know im late to the program)

and I need to find out the

    Main SEO keywords
    Number of Incoming links:
    Number of outgoing links

    to
    Code:
    rollingstone.com
I am in the seo competition section, and this is all it displays (even after I export it , it just has a Y or a N, not what the actual keywords are)

    My question is:

What are the number of incoming and outgoing links, and what are the main seo keywords, and How do I find all this information in it?

Thanks will be given to the person who helps.
    Cheers:)

    Hey,

BLP = Back Links to Page
BLD = Back Links to Domain
I think this is incoming links.

The keyword that you put in to make the tab would probably be the same keyword that it saying "yes" to in terms of what keyword is included in the title and url. Just look at the top and see what it says.

When you look at URL to the left over the webadress and follow the line to the right you see this small arrow right before the DA. If you press this you and analyze the PR of the sites that are linking back to the page and even get what anchor texts is used. I would guess that if alot of the anchor texts are "rolling stone" then the page is ranked highly for this term. If you see other terms like "music news" you can probably put these words into new tabs and then check the SEO tab on the left again to check if the domain is ranking for the actual term.

I really don't know if you can find outgoing links with this tool but you can sort onpage and offpage links.

Hope this helps a little and if somebody else could answer about the outgoing links that would be great.

Not sure about outbound links. But in SEO Competition, click on the arrow pointing down to the URL/webiste you want to check on and go with PR Analysis and Anchor Text Analysis. That pretty much covers everything.

Or is there something else you are looking for? Do get back and I will check it out (or more inputs should come by then).

BLP = Backlinks to the particular page on a site that is ranking in that position.

BLD = the number of backlinks to the domain (usually larger number)

There is no way MS can tell you what a sites main keyword is. A simple way is to take a look at the title bar at the top of their website. If they have any clue about SEO their main keyword (s) will be in the title bar... or check their source code and look at keywords.

You can also see exactly where their links are coming from in MS and what anchor text is being used. Just click on the little arrow buttons near each listing and it will open another "window"... then click "PR Analysis".

    Good Luck... great tool.

I just got this too. I found their video tutorials quite useful! There's a link to them in the email registration that they sent you.

First we go to yahoo and we see how many links they have:

    Code:
    http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http%3A%2F%2Frollingstone.com&bwm=i&bwmo=&bwmf=s
    3 million plus

Then we select the drop down 'except from this domain'

We get roughly 2.9 million (you need to do this yourself, that's why I'm not giving exact numbers)

So if we take the top number and subtract the bottom number it tells how many links are internal in the site

    3 million plus - 2.9 million = internal links

That's one big site to jack. Good luck :)

PS: You need to ALWAYS cross reference Market Samurai data with exercises like this or use other tools as well. I cannot tell you how many times I thought I found a good niche only to recheck it outside of MS and found the data was totally wrong. I'm seeing this consistently happening these days and its getting me to the point of almost not wanting to use it anymore.

I'd suggest installing the SEOquake Firefox extension to get this info on the fly.
